According to a new survey by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), outdoor items are at the top of buyers’ lists of must-have features in a new home, with a patio being second only to a dedicated laundry room. Of the approximately one million new single-family residences started in 2022, 63.3% of these were homes with a patio.
